Since 2011, we have been saving our money to invest in film making. We will show you in this page what we have invested so far. Some of our friends who needed equipment at the time of their shoot called us for help. We’re so happy that our little investment helped them as much it is helping us. These items are in our inventory so far. We are keeping them in my garage, and my mom is not happy about it.
In film making, a good shooting camera is very important. Nikon D5300 is not that pricey but matches other expensive brands. The quality is nice. We have captured videos and everyone of them came out great. We are planning to upgrade to Sony HXR-MC2500E but it’s quite expensive. We need to stretch our wallet to get a new video recorder. We know it will be worth it.
Fig Rig and Tripod
You don’t want your captured videos to be shaky. The answer to the problem is to get a fig rig or a tripod. We have 3 sets of these stuff. The tripod was donated to us by a friend who decided to shift careers. So Melanie, if you are reading this, Thank you! We are not particular which one to use between a tripod or a fig rig because the only use of these stuff is to hold your camera and get a nice shot. The rest of the video capturing will be dependent on your skills.
This item really works in wonders. Independent films have scenes about interesting conversation of 2 or more characters. Having this item prevents the noise background from being recorded. It gives you clear and quality audio to make sure that they are audible and easy to understand. We are very particular to quality of scripts and sadly, most newbies failed to see the importance of the quality of the audio before releasing a film.
Aside from having a good video camera, you need a good lighting to capture great videos. Three-Point Lighting Kit is the best for us compared to other lighting kits out there. The quality of the videos we have produced are crisp. Make sure you check their manual guide before using the kit to get the maximum effect you want to achieve in your videos. The positioning of each light are crucial in video capturing. If the light is too strong there is a tendency in videos to look unnatural.
